I grew up in Valdez, the heart of Prince William Sound, Alaska. I began writing scripts and novels, while performing in summer stock and adventuring in the land of the midnight sun. When I landed my first publishing contract for Ghosts of Seattle in 2006, I set out on a year-long road trip across the west coast to research ghosts, the paranormal, and the stories humanity tells about the afterlife. My blog, The BlissQuest allowed me to connect with adventurers and readers across the globe.
In 2011, I launched my first publishing label to produce Murder of Crows, Sinnet of Dragons, and Scold of Jays for The Pillars of Dawn. Then I began adapting those novels for screen and gaming platforms. The transmedia content for the Storyverse worlds associated with The Pillars of Dawn, and The Life Erotic are also in development.
I currently live on the Oregon Coast.
